An engineer's tale of learning how to cook for his wife.
In the past I've made a lot of different types of cookies. This week I wanted to try something different for the Mrs. She's a fan of mint ice cream, so I decided to try my hand at mint cookies. I used mint extract and Andes Crème De Menthe Baking Chips instead of chocolate chips.
Warning: This will give you some seriously minty cookies!
Why are these so large? A baking mistake? Or perhaps part of a bigger plan...
Another week, another Blue Apron adventure!
First time for everything and this was my first time cooking rice on the stove top. Not that bad...maybe it's time to retire the rice cooker.
The Mrs. appreciated the meal and has welcomed the new variety of dishes. She has even hinted at cooking for the Mr!
Recently, the Mrs. and I started a subscription to Blue Apron after hearing some good reviews from our friends.
The Mrs. loooves pasta. So when we saw this option on the blue apron website, we jumped!
With all the ingredients sent to us this feels a little bit like cheating. The preparation was pretty straight forward, though we've never really cooked with mushrooms. Needless to say, we'll start adding them to the mix.
